Do any Seattle people want to go to a Buffy trivia night December 3rd?
☄: my “crack” pairing
Like, all my Supernatural femslash ships because not a one of them ever actually meets. (I had a lot of Anna/Jo feelings once upon a time.)
KAT/STARBUCK KAT/STARBUCK KAT/STARBUCK
Veronica Mars/Claudia Donovan and Kenzi/Claudia Donovan.
obligatory note that omg how can even five??
6. top five female characters who are adorable dorks
- Leslie Knope. I mean…
- Fred Burkle. Fred’s dorkiness comes and goes, but when it comes, boy is it cute. (Also other Buffyverse peeps, but I’m trying for a little variety)
- Cosima Niehaus
- Betty Suarez
- Liz Lemon
Top five female characters that I will love till the end of time
ummm all the lady characters ever? no? that’s not a real answer?
- Lisbeth Salander. LISBETH SALANDER.
- Dana Scully
- Violet Baudelaire
- Veronica Mars
- Kara Thrace
5. Favorite female crime-solver
This is basically my favorite kind of character. I’m especially fond of girl detectives (a la Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, Veronica Mars) and ladies who are not professionally employed as crime-solvers but can’t seem to stop encountering crime to solve (Ms. Marple, Rosemary & Thyme) although I am extremely fond of several lady cops as well (too many to list tbh)
but I’m gonna use this space to talk about my current faves: The Bletchley Circle
aka Susan, Millie, Jean, and Lucy: four women who worked as codebreakers at Bletchley Park during WWII but were forced to lead relatively boring lives in the following years because their work was classified so “officially” they only did clerical work during the war. Now a housewife, Susan notices patterns being made by a serial killer stalking London. She recruits her old friends and co-workers, each with their own specialty, to help solve the murders. With the power of MATH. You guys should watch it is what I’m saying. And then we should talk about how Millie is definitely queer.
7. Favorite teenage girl
Megannn. Teenage girls are just my favorite. There are so many, it’s not fair. My most recent fave is probably Bullet from the Killing.
Oh, my sweet, sweet Bullet. You deserved so much better than what that show did to you.
18. A lady you’d like to be your best friend
Hmmm. I’m gonna say Mahandra from Wonderfalls
I mean she kind of goes above and beyond in the world of best friendship.
22. Favorite lady ship
Others may gain prominence in my headspace, but the one ship that will remain strong forever and always is Buffy/Faith.
Starbuck/Kat from BSG and Zoe-A/Tamara-A (;n; the AI queer girls that could have been) from Caprica also have special places in my heart.
i thought i was the only one my gaydar was pinging every which way with stacie and her and cynthia rose are my otp (yes i know bechloe blah blah blah they’re awesome but still)
nah I was kind of expecting them to end up making out. Or something.
oh good :) I was honestly curious, because I haven’t really seen anything about them around, but then again I don’t so much delve into the fandom as I do watch the movie on repeat.
I still remember the first time I saw this scene. I laughed for about five minutes and then rewound it and watched it again and laughed
heeeeee I just rewatched it three times
“All right, then when? When will this happen?”
"The first portent will shake the earth. The second will burn the air. The last will turn the sky to blood.”
"…….An earthquake? That’s the first portent? We live in California."
“EARTHQUAKE, FIRE, BLOOD.”
a) is there an extended edition?? b) WOW TERRIBLE HUMAN (not that I didn’t already know that)
I thought it was just him being an asshole for terrible person-being’s sake, but a cursory googling says that the blu-ray includes extended scenes
but yeah. I mean, terrible person is terrible, but I feel like even most terrible people like Pitch Perfect. bc c’mon
haha uh did I write too much? I get carried away sometimes, she’s my favorite.
no that’s exactly the kind of thing that makes me feel better, I love to hear people get carried away talking about how great their faves are
